Record attempt: The world's largest pop-up greeting card for all the girls and their freedom to dream.
2024 marks the 70th anniversary of the death of Frida Kahlo, the famous Mexican Artist whose indomitable spirit has always been a symbol of resilience and love for Life.
On this occasion, Furio Ceciliato, the volcanic founder of Origamo, Italy's best-selling premium greeting card brand, wanted to create a bridge between this female icon of Strength, Perseverance and Independence and all the girls around the world who are not as fortunate as we are, but have the right to pursue and fulfil their own dreams.
Thanks to a pool of sponsoring companies “The World's Largest Pop-up Greeting Card” was created, a truly gigantic three-metre high and over nine square metre card that will beat the current world record of 8.20 square metres held in Dubai.
The record-breaking card will be on display during the entire event and you may receive an Origamo Limited Edition gift card for a value of 10 euros, the “standard size” version of the giant card, if you make a donation to the Foundation.
The giant card, depicting Frida Kahlo and developed in official collaboration with the Frida Kahlo Corp. in Miami, has a charitable purpose: collect donations for the Christina Noble Children's Foundation, the most important foundation in Vietnam for helping vulnerable children and families in need.
In particular, the funds will support the “Sunshine Homes for Girls”, the Foster Homes in Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon where less fortunate girls and young women, 6 to 18 years old, are taken away from poverty and exploitation and provided the childhood they deserve.
Erica and Furio Ceciliato, founders of Origamo, personally follow the transfer and use of the funds and coordinate the Foundation's activities in Italy.
We would like to thank the many sponsors who made this work possible, in particular:
ONDALBA, leading industrial group in corrugated cardboard production that made the record-holding card and ORIGAMO - MY DESIGN - FRIDA KAHLO CORP - PAPER ART - SKYLOG - MILANO HOME.
