The Promovetro Consortium of Murano presents “Murano: The Glass Island,” an exploration of the birthplace of the world’s most renowned glass: Murano glass. The installation, designed as a floating island, showcases creations by various Murano master glassmakers. Lighting, video, and projections will highlight the exquisite quality of the pieces on display, creating an immersive and captivating experience for visitors.

The exhibited pieces showcase the remarkable diversity of techniques and products Murano offers, a blend of traditional and contemporary glass creations crafted in furnaces, workshops, and artisan studios.

Acting as a bridge between these different entrepreneurial realities is the Promovetro Consortium, which currently represents about fifty Murano companies, artisan and industrial. Founded in 1985, the Consortium is today the manager of the Veneto Region’s Vetro Artistico® Murano brand, the only legal certification that guarantees the origin of the products to the final consumer. The Consortium has always been committed to enhancing the image of Murano's artistic craftsmanship in the world, promoting and ensuring proper marketing of this important historical and cultural heritage.
