Poldina Art Lab: a unique Zafferano initiative

Thanks to the “Poldina Art Lab” initiative, created in collaboration with two prestigious Venetian institutions - Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa and Accademia Di Belle Arti - the famous Venetian company presented an artistic reinterpretation of its best-selling product: the Poldina lamp.

Poldina, the famous portable and rechargeable lamp that creates beautiful effects everywhere, is turned into a work of art thanks to the “Poldina Art Lab” project created by Zafferano in collaboration with Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa and Accademia Di Belle Arti.

A project born directly from an idea of Federico de Majo - founder, designer and CEO of Zafferano - involving emerging Venetian artists in the customisation of the Poldina wireless lamp.

Twenty-two artworks were created by as many emerging Venetian artists who participated in the “call for artists” issued by Zafferano in collaboration with the two prestigious Venetian institutions. They reinterpreted the table lamp with its archetypal Poldina silhouette, according to their own individual style and using a wide variety of techniques, resulting in an exclusive and unrepeatable collection.

Zafferano s.r.l. is a Company founded in 2001 by Venetian designer Federico de Majo with the goal of decorating and customising environments by giving maximum expression to the functionality and aesthetics of Italian design. Tasting wine glasses, coloured glass and ceramic tableware, indoor and outdoor lights and portable lamps.
